MYD Lawn and Soil is a new business operating in the Perth suburbs. Our goal is to offer the opportunity for our customers to achieve a strong and healthy lawn no matter what soil they have started with.
My name is Jared I am backed by nearly 2 decades of agricultural expertise, I have decided to use my knowledge and skills from the agricultural industry and move toward producing a greener touch in the city.
I have spent 10 years growing pastures and managing livestock in NZ before spending 3 years cropping throughout QLD, NSW and South Australia. From there I moved to W.A where I have spent 5 years working in-depth with a broadacre cropping operation.
Western Australia has shown me that almost any soil can be turned into a healthy and viable foundation if it is treated well and cared for.
I have a strong focus on weed control and management, plant health, minimizing soil salinity, optimizing and increasing water holding capacity in marginal soils.
Our Goals
In Perth there is a serious lack of nature this is fueled by poor soil quality and minimal rainfall. I want to do my part to change that. Improving soil to hold and retain water is a great way to minimize water usage. while creating a greener and often cooler environment.
We aim to encourage people to step away from the easy plastic lawn and fake grass in a bid to create a more environmentally friendly and cooler city.
We want to offer fair pricing to all of our customers while providing fantastic and detailed quality.
As we are a new business we have acquired all new and quality gear to get the job done fast and well.

One Off Mowing?
Yes Of Course! We welcome all new clients at any time we try our best to get to you as quickly as possible.
Please be aware that new clients are required to pre-pay their job if they are outside of our regular schedule. Once you decide to have us return on a regular basis we are happy to organize a regular payment schedule that works for you.
What if I am at work?
No problem at all! We are all very busy these days and we are happy to mow if you are away.
A few things to note:
Ensure your we have access to all the areas that will require servicing.
If we cannot gain access to the entire lawn we will mow what we can and a fee for call out will still need to be charged. we will aim to keep it as fair as possible for you of course!
To help ensure this doesn’t happen on the morning of your service we will send a text letting you know it is your day for a property service.
Please be aware we cannot accept residential keys for security reasons.
How often do you mow?
Depending on what you request this can vary. Certain lawn types and soil types grow at different speeds. The most common is every fortnight this may change with the seasons or weather. After a fertilizer application you may notice your lawn take off. We expect this from nitrogen and plan accordingly.
How long does lawn repair take?
This is a very soil, grass, and job dependent question. some things will give instant results. some will be slower. With clay type soils it can take up to a year to see the full benefits but we have a few tricks to have it looking good sooner than that. On the other hand with something like fertilizing and pH Correction the results can appear very quickly. The goal is always optimal results long term and we will always aim to achieve that over a quick green flush.
